Answer: Throughout the year volunteer opportunities may be available on federal, state and local public lands, either hosted by agencies or by partner groups. One opportunity is National Public Lands Day, hosted by the BLM and Forest Service each year in September in different areas. This is a day set aside for volunteer activities and projects. Check the BLM and Forest Service websites for dates and details.
The Tucson Rod & Gun Club also organizes a volunteer program. For more information, contact (520) 327-5877 or email to volunteers@trgc.org.
If you would like to initiate a volunteer project or have further questions, call the relevant federal, state and local agencies |
